Hanover Engineering was retained by County Meadows Associates as their land development engineer for a 21-acre Retirement Community project located along Newlins Road West in Forks Township, Northampton County. The project consists of a 67,000 square foot building with amenities such as a dining hall, fitness center, independent living suites, dependent living suites, and skill nursing rooms for 112 residents anticipated to reside at the facility.
Hanover Engineering provided engineering services for all phases of the land development approval process, including the preparation of the boundary and topographical survey, stormwater infiltration testing, conditional use approval, coordination with the local water and sewer authorities, NPDES permit approval, land development approval, and provided expert testimony at the Forks Township Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors public meetings.
Hanover Engineering designed the site improvements and infrastructure for the project, including stormwater facilities such as the detention basin, rain gardens, and stormwater collection system, as well as a sanitary sewer gravity main and lift station, site vehicular access and on-site parking areas, site lighting and landscaping. Hanover Engineering performed construction observation of the post construction stormwater facilities as required by the NPDES permit. The project started construction late 2014 and opened for residents in August 2016.
